All cells do not divide at the same rate to serve their purpose, as simple as that. Let us take for example the cells present in our body. These cells are all specialized in their own ways. Some cells might only take hours to complete the cycle such as the skin cells, others might have to wait for quite some time before undergoing the process like the liver cells, others don't even divide at all like the brain cells. Now, imagine if all cells divide at the same rate. This would cause instability in the process of maintaining and sustaining life itself. The disruption would bear a severe effect to the host and might endanger its life, or worse, it could lead to death.
