The mayhaw fruit trees produce a fruit that has never been cultivated by humans. two mayhaw trees are growing in a field. they are identical in every way, except that tree #1 contains a mutation that causes the mayhaw berries it produces to have very little of the sugary flesh and twice as many seeds per berry. tree #2 produces average mayhaw berries with an average amount of seeds. which tree will have more offspring that live to maturity?

    The normal tree #2 because its seeds have more flesh to nourish the developing seeds.
