A woman has just found out that she has a lethal genetic disease, and she wishes to conceive a child before she dies. what assisted reproductive technology could be used to ensure that her child would not receive the disease allele yet would still be genetically hers?

    Using karyomapping, the IVF procedure can make sure that the offspring produced doesn't contain that specific gene.

    This process is simply diagnostic because it only selects the embryo that safe from the genes. It is not altering the genes, so the child should be genetically hers.
