Describe the flow of energy from the Sun to producers and then to a consumers

The chlorophyll in a plants leaves absorbs light energy from the sun which is then later used to make glucose and oxygen. Consumers eat the plants to get nutrients. Consumers get their energy from the food they eat.

All consumers only get 10% of the energy and nutrients from what they ate due to respiration, body mass, excretion and egestion
