    Explanation:

    Papilloma is a white benign (non metastasizing) tumor of epithelial tissue. It is an exophytic lesion i. e. it projects outwards. Projections arise from mucosal surface and have cauliflower like appearance. Papilloma is most commonly found on palate, tongue or lips. It can be caused by Human papillomavirus or other factors like skin damage due to smoking. Papilloma can cause irritation. However it does not spread and is not cancerous.
