The human body contains three types of arteries:

    1. Elastic Arteries

    2. Muscular Arteries

    3. Arterioles

Among these, the wall of the muscular artery is made up of more smooth muscles as compared to the elastin. The tunica media of the muscular artery is mainly composed of the smooth muscle cells. These blood vessels deliver the blood to specific body parts.
