Option B. North Americans value independence over their family.

Explanation:

Family being a subjective concept has always been the cornerstone of American society. Due to which only 45% individuals are only in contact with the relatives with whom they have grown as a child.

The changing lifestyle and preference of money over every subject is also responsible for the current family structure of North America.

The race of becoming financially independent is making the younger ones leave their parents at a very young age and never return back in North America.

This is not the the case with Asian and African families and its structure.
