Why is cellulose considered to be a complex carbohydrate

    Cellulose is a structural carbohydrate used for the cell wall in plants. It is considered a complex carbohydrate because it is a disaccharide. A disaccharide is 2 monomers put together. The monomers of cellulose are glucose.
