How might a homogeneous gene pool make the endangered cheetah more susceptible to extinction?

Diseases for which cheetahs have low resistance could kill several cubs within a short period.

A homogeneous gene pool makes the population stronger, so there is no danger of extinction.

Predators prefer to prey on cheetahs that are genetically similar so they are more susceptible to extinction.

A homogeneous gene pool only makes cheetahs look similar to each other and cannot make them susceptible to extinction.
