    Animalia is a kingdom which has different phyla. There are thirty six phyla in animal kingdom but nine are the major ones and they are - Porifera, Cnidaria, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Annelida, Arthropoda, Mollusca, Echinodermata and Chordata.

    The organisms are classified on the basis of complexity. The complexity increases with increase in the mentioned phyla.

    Humans are the most complex organism that perform several functions. The least evolved phyla is porifera and the most evolved phyla is chordata.
