The carbon cycle is the process in which carbon atoms are recycled over and over again on Earth. Carbon recycling takes place within Earth s biosphere and between living things and the nonliving environment. Since a continual supply of carbon is essential for all living organisms, the carbon cycle is the name given to the different processes that move carbon from one to another.

The complete cycle is made up of sources that put carbon back into the environment and sinks that, absorb and store carbon.

Carbon cycle is the transfer of CO2 molecules from one phase to another in a manner. All living things are made of carbon. Carbon is also a part of the ocean, air and even rocks. Because the Earth is a dynamic place, carbon does not stay still. If we see from beginning CO2 in the atmosphere is taken by the plants which use it to make glucose, water and oxygen. Also direct CO2 from air forms carbonate water which later turns to Limestone. Then these plants are eaten by us and other animals i. e we indirectly use the CO2 which was with plants and also we respire CO2 back in atmosphere. Then, when organic compounds [plants, animals] form coal and petroleum or we can say fossil fuel, additionally our human body forms inorganic carbonate or shells. But nowadays we burn fossil too much which is harmful and also cutting the trees as a result we are not getting rid of CO2 from our atmosphere.
