    The tRNA acts as interpreters between nucleic acid and protein language by picking up specific amino acids and recognizing the appropriate codons in the mRNA, Codons are read 5' to 3'; there are 20 total 'sense' codons, and at least one codon for each amino acid, there are three nonsense codons which are stop codons and there is one start codon.
