Immunocompetence (term concerning white blood cells) is the ability of the body to produce a normal immune response, after exposure to an antigen, stimulation with interleukins (protein molecules stimulating leukocytes) of endogenous origin (securing by other leukocytes) or exogenous (in the context immunotherapy with interleukins, for example to treat certain diseases).

Immunocompetence is the opposite of immunodeficiency.
