Dr. nguyen's experimental rats have learned the location of a food treat in a maze. she removed their hippocampi 3 hours after the rats located the food. what will be the effect on the rat's memory for the food's location?

    The hippocampus is a part of the brain responsible for consolidation of short-term memory, long-term memory, and spatial memory (that enables navigation)

    By having the hippocampus removed, the rat won't remember his memories, such as the location of a food treat in the maze.
