If your marine toilet has a "y" valve, what must you do in a no discharge zone?

    For the answer to the question above, the valve should be safety wired directly to the tank only. Let the coast guard catch it in any other direction or else they will give you penalty or a fine you. You may have to safety wire it before they leave.

    You have to safety wire it to the tank or you'll get fined
