The law of mass action states that the rate of a chemical reaction is directly proportional to the product of reactant substances' masses. Their mass is raised to the power which is equal to the coefficient of the chemical equation.

The positive feedback loop is the feedback process in which a little disturbance in a process results in the perturbation of increased magnitude.

Respiratory alkalosis can be defined as the condition in which the acid and base balance of the body is disturbed due to the alveolar hyperventilation.

Breathing in a paper bag causes a person to continuously re-breathe the exhaled carbondioxide. It further imbalances the already disturbed acid-base balance of the person suffering from respiratory alkalosis, and hence, might prove to be fatal for the person.
