Pentane with molecular formular C5H12 exists in three isomeric forms which are normal pentane, isopentane and neopentane. These isomers are structural isomers. Structural isomers are chemical compounds which have the same molecular formular and but different space arrangements. The order in which they are arranged is the only difference between them.
