The correct answer is - log phase

    Explanation:

There are four different phases of growth in bacteria lag, log, stationary, and death phase. In the lag phase, the bacterial culture prepares enzymes that are required to metabolize the substrate that is present in the culture. So in this bacteria adapt to the environment.

In log-phase bacteria starts growing exponentially by metabolizing the substrate. So in log phase bacteria divide exponentially and bacteria grow by binary fission therefore in this phase S. cerevisiae cells with different bud sizes can be seen under the microscope.
