Chronic adrenocortical insufficiency is associated with Addison's disease. Addison's disease is a condition where your Adrenal gland failed to produce enough cortisol, or aldosterone, due to accidents, infections etc. Therefore the insufficiency is said to be chronic aderenocortical. That is while you are having this condition. Cortisol has multi effects on organs and tissues of the body. Therfore its insufficiency may leads to may symptoms you are experiencing and you are still experiencing.

Cortocosteroid medication is a long term dosage, because of the multi-effects of cortisol. It is recommended to take the medication at the same time daily, to get the best positive effect from it And even after the symptoms has disappeared the medication should be continued because some organs complications may arise when you stop your medication suddenly. You should decrease your medication with time after you consulted me or the doctor.

Therefore you do not need to wait until you experience certain symptoms before you commence your medication.
