Catfish may be caught from various methods. Traditionally, catfish are caught using a fishing pole. Other methods include noodling which is when the fisherman cover his hand and arm in bait or chum to lure the catfish and then with that, put his or her hand in shallow water until the fish bites (don't believe me, search 'noodling' on youtube). Different types of bait can be live fish, other types of live bait, and more. However, when fishing traditionally, weights and boats must be used because catfish tend to be centered in a lake and at the bottom as well.
