Why do gallbladder attacks usually follow a large or fatty meal?

The gall bladder releases bile to digest fats. When you eat fatty foods, the gall bladder will go into an overdrive to digest the fats from your food. If you have gall stones, it may cause the stone to move and get stuck into the duct. If the duct contracts, pain will develop and cause what we call as gall bladder attack.
