Why might diseases transmitted by vectors be harder to control than those transmitted by other means?

    These diseases are harder to control than others due to the fact that a number of factors influence their makeup and spread patterns. These diseases are predominantly spread by mosquitoes or other insects, this means that they can be hard to predict. Factors like environmental change or urbanization as well as resistance of the host to changing climates can make this more difficult to control.
