Nitrogenous waste is the waste that is excreted by bony fishes, by mammals, and by insects.

Nitrogenous waste products are urea, uric acid or ammonia. Fish excrete nitrogenous waste as ammonia and mammals produce primarily urea (sometime ammonia) which is excreted in urine.
