The Red Blood Corpuscles in the blood take up the oxygen to supply it to different cells in the body. They do not have a nucleus to carry much oxygen and to go through the thinnest capillaries and narrow spaces. They do not have mitochondria so that they do not use up the oxygen or energy for themselves.
