Characteristics of the desert biome make it an appropriate home for chuckwallas.

    Explanation:

Desert chuckwallas are called western chuckwallas and are usually found in the rocky desert areas. They have several adaptations that enable them to survive the extreme conditions of the desert. They are diurnal animals who are active during the day.

When the temperature of the desert is too hot or too cold they will seek refuge in crevices of rocks and won't come out in periods of food scarcity. In the winter months they enter into brumation which is a condition similar to hibernation but has periods of wakefulness in between.
