The type of reaction for the formation of ethyl ethanoate is Condensation.

    Explanation:

    Condensation reaction -

The reaction in which two or more reactant combines to form a product, along with the removal of small molecules like water, ammonia etc., is called a condensation reaction.

Ethyl alcohol and acetic acid combines together to form ethyl ethanoate as the ester.

This is a reaction to form a ester, from alcohol and carboxylic acid.

To make water molecule, H atom is taken from the alcohol and OH is taken from the carboxylic acid, as a result remaining structures of alcohol and acid unite with each other forming an ester.
