Glycolysis is an anaerobic process used to catabolize glucose. what does it mean for this process to be an anaerobic?

    Anaerobic process means that process which doesn't require oxygen. Glycolysis can occur in the absence of oxygen and that is why it is an anerobic process. It also takes place in oresence of oxygen, called aerobic process.
