If the body senses that it is in a dangerous situation, it will release adrenaline until it senses that the danger is gone. The sympathetic nervous system is in charge of release hormones and adrenaline to the bloodstream and then the parasympathetic nervous system is in charge of balancing it all out once the dangerous situation is over.
