What is the name for a disturbance that harms some organisms but does not hurt the ecosystem?

    Secondary disturbance is the disturbance that harms some organisms but does not hurt the ecosystem. An example of this kind of succession is a forest recovering from a major forest fire or logging event.

    Primary disturbance on the other hand is the disturbance that removes most of the organisms and damages of soil.
