Is the number of chromosomes in each cell of an organism a good indicator of the complexity of that organism?

    No, the number of chromosomes does not indicate how complex an organism is.

    Chromosomes can be refers to as strand of DNA that is encoded with genes. Also, they are DNA molecules with all the genetic materials or part of genetic materials of an organism. However, the number of genes and genome size present in an organism reveal little about organism complexity.
