What part of the nervous system would carry messages from a person's sore knee to alert him or her to stop running and rest?

    The sensory nervous system takes these messages and transmits them to the brain for perception and action. Unlike the other parts of the nervous system, this section allows for the brain to make decisions about what to do next based upon the inputs given to it.
