You can learn about old bone structures and how the Earth was when the plant/animal fossil was alive. We now know about the old Earth filled with Dinosaurs, ammonites and trilobites through fossils! By studying fossils we can find out how old life has existed on Earth. As well as how plants and animals existed and related to each other.
