    1) Describe two ways that receptor-mediated endocytosis is different from phaocytosis.

    receptor-mediated endocytosis is specific. it only allows special molecules to enter. there are receptors out the cell membrane. In Phagocytosis, the cell membranes goes toward the large molecule and forms a vesicle and engulfs it.

    2) Distinguish between diffusion and active transport, in terms of

    a) energy involvement

    b) direction of molecular flow

    Diffusion doesn't require energy; with/down the concentration gradient Active transport requires energy; against/up the concentration gradient
