Supraspinatus muscle tendon is the muscle tendon at the shoulder joint of a baseball player that is most likely to be injured due to excessive circumduction. Supraspinatus is a relative small muscle of the upper back. It runs from the supraspinatous fossa to the greater tubercle of the humerus. This muscle is used to lift the arm up sideways. It is also important in throwing sports as it is the muscle that hold the arms.
