During the embryogenesis, three embryonic layers are formed. these aabryonic layers give rise to the different organs and structures. these three germ layers are ectoderm, mesoderm and the endoderm.

The endoderm layer give rise to primitive gut (digestive system) and its derived organs such as intestine, liver, pancreas. thymus, lungs, thyroid and prostate.

The mesoderm give rise to the muscles, bones, heart and the components of the circulatory system.

The ectoderm layer results in the formation of nervous tissue, brain and the skin, along with the receptors.

Hence, the pair nervous-mesoderm is an incorrect match, as the nervous tissue is derived from the ectoderm layer.
