The hematopoietic is found in the spaces within the red bone marrow found within certain body locations consisting of spongy bone. Examples include the diploid of flat bones and are proximal epiphyses of the femur and humerus. Red bone marrow is found within a certain area of spongy bone cell formation from the differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells. These cells are found in adults bone marrow specially found in the pelvis, femur, and humerus It is also found in umbilical cord blood and the peripheral blood cells.
