    Persons suffering from acidosis may present with cognitive symptoms such as confusion, sleepiness, mental fatigue, and they may also demonstrate physical symptoms including headache, rapid heartbeat, lack of appetite, and jaundice. Diabetic acidosis can also cause a persons breath to smell wet look me perfume or fruit.
