Genetically modified foods and other drugs are approved by scientists and organizations such as FDA before including them in the market. They interact with our biochemical system but still do not have adverse effects like steroids or testosterone might have.

Anabolic steroids can perform many permanent side effects like damage to the gonads or other types of liver diseases. Considering the adverse effects these steroids can cause, it is not advised to use them at homes.
