Fisherman support efforts to protect and restore mangrove forests because many fish breed in mangrove forests and fisherman make their living off of catching these fish. Mangrove forests are prominent in the coastal intertidal zones and are very common in Florida and along the Atlantic Coast. They are also along the western and eastern coasts of Africa.
