The answer is inability to move the lower arms. The thorax region of the spinal column has 12 segments (T1-T12). Located in the middle of spine. Injury in the nerve and spinal tissue correlates the manifestation to the level of spine that is affected. Symptoms that can be found on thoracic spine includes lack of function in the legs and torso (paraplegia), decreased in dexterity of hands, loss of control in the abdominal muscles and muscles in the trunk, bladder and bowel function can also be affected. Causes of spinal injuries are vehicular accidents, trauma, infections and tumors.
