You are looking at chromosome 1 in a human being. Assuming there is no crossing over, what is the source of all the genes on this chromosome?

    Answer: Either paternal or maternal.

    Explanation: No crossing over means there is no possible genetic variation because when crossing over occurs, the resulting chromosome carry genes from both parents and form new character that is different from both parents.

    There will be less chances of being evolved.
