    Following are the six principles to maintain the confidentiality of the patient information.

    1) When the information is doubtful better to check and confirm with the patient rather with the others.

    2) It's the right of patient to keep the information confidential.

    3) All patients should be treated equally, the confidentiality should be maintained for all.

    4) Rules and laws of confidentiality should be appropriately maintained.

    5) If it is required to break the confidentiality of the information, it should be first discussed with the patient.

    6) A proper consent or approval should be taken from the patient before releasing the information.
