    Explanation:

    There are two major ways in which oxygen is carried in the blood. Only a small amount of oxygen is dissolved in blood plasma and is carried along with the blood. Only 2% of total oxygen is carried in blood plasma in dissolved form.

    Rest 98% of oxygen is carried as a molecule bound to hemoglobin in red blood cells. Leukocytes do not have hemoglobin protein to carry the oxygen.
