What would happen when a fresh water fish is put in salt water? Explain what would happen to the water in the cells of the fish. Use the words hypertonic, isotonic and/or hypotonic solution in your answer.

    The fish's hypertonic cells will become hypotonic which will not mix well with the body structure of salt water fish, and they will die.
