What is prosopagnosia? what part of the cortex when damaged by a stroke gives rise to prosopagnosia?

    Prosopagnosia is a condition where a person can see faces (geometric facial features only) identify its parts (nose, mouth, and others) but he cannot recognize any familiar ones, including his own face. It is caused by the damage to the lower portion of the cortex.
