Enzymes are bio catalyst that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without changing its equilibrium. Enzymes work at specific temperature and pH conditions only.

Enzymes lowers the activation energy of the reaction by binding with one of the reactant and holds the reactant that lowers its activation energy. Enzymes also increases the effective collisions between the substrate molecule.
