How can meiosis be used to justify the viability of an organism?

    Viability is the ability of an organism to maintain its population number, through Meiosis the Chromosomal numbers are halved so that through the process of fertilization the original number of chromosomes would be maintained as half the chromosomes come from each parent. This way each successive generation has the same number of chromosomes.
