    Explanation:

    The ponds and lakes are the aquatic ecosystems that can be formed in low areas of land where water get collected. But differences between the lakes and ponds exists. The lakes are generally big, deep and plants can grow mostly on the edges due to the lack of sunlight in the lower depths. The ponds are small, shallow, the sunlight can even reach to the bottom, and the plants can be rooted at the substrate base these have more nutrients because of accumulation of plant and animal matter at the base.

    The temperature of ponds and lakes may vary according to the season thus this can be said that the two aquatic ecosystems are incorrectly described.
