The nurse should talk to new nurse about the situation she handled inappropriately and act as a mentor. First, she should ask the new nurse why she made that statement to the client and give her the chance to improve her ability to relate to clients with unique needs and to expand her critical thinking skills. Experienced nurse should be careful and not aggressive in order to avoid counterproductive effect.
