    The skull is located in the head. The bone of the skull of a new born is not fused at birth this is to enable passage during birth from the female opening while the skull bone of an adult at joined or linked to the other by sutures, this allows for growth of the skull as the child develops.

    At birth the bone is 44 and are separated by a structure called fontanels this indicates the softness of the head. This fontanels allows growth of the skull as the child's develops.
